Overview
At Delmarva Power we understand the role that power plays in your homes and businesses. Because the power we generate travels great distances to reach your home, we are constantly at work updating and expanding our power delivery infrastructure to ensure maximum reliability for you, our customers.
Our approach to enhancing reliability involves several critical activities, such as:
- Upgrading and replacing older transmission lines and equipment to maximize efficiency and reduce the possibility of equipment failure
- Extending existing transmission lines to bridge new development and power generation sources
- Developing multiple power sources and pathways for power to reach specific areas, mitigating the risk of outages due to increased demand or weather emergencies
